A sleep study is a non-invasive diagnostic study to evaluate for a sleep disorder. It measures your brain wave activity, eye movements, muscle movements, heart activity, snoring, breathing, and blood saturation oxygenation.

You will need a referral from your provider to be slept at one of our partnered sleep labs

You will not be given a sleep aide, but if your provider prescribes one and/or you take medications that cause sleepiness, bring those medications with you to your appointment. All other medications can be taken normal throughout your day.

Bring with whatever you are comfortable to sleep in for pajamas, just no tight-fitting clothing. Feel free to bring your pillow, reading material, and please remember your patient questionnaire.

Yes, you will stay all night for your study. It will take about 45 – 60 minutes to hook you up before lights are out.

You will be woke between 5am – 6am. The technologist will remove the wires and you will be able to go home to shower and clean up

If you need to use the bathroom during the study. You will call the technologist and they will disconnect you from some of the monitoring equipment so you can use the restroom

If you haven’t received your results in two weeks, you may call to follow up on them.
